Big housing subdivision with 50 to 100 homes is planned for Arcata by Chesten Spiering of Portland. It will be located on the Ghilardoni tract on the NW outskirts of Arcata. He expects to complete 5 or 6 units by May 15 and 50 by mid Sept. Constr. will begin April 1. He is the son of C.W.R. Spiering, logging mgr. for the million dollar plywood co. which is expected to start production next month.
