The BOS ordered that plans and specs be prepared for a new cable bridge over the Eel River at Alderpoint to replace the rotted out combination bridge. The second bridge planned is a cable bridge over the Trinity River at the mouth of Willow Creek. (This was never built). The BOS also made final payment for the bridge over the Eel River at Scotia. Partial payments were made on the bridge over Bull Creek and the bridge across Lost Man Creek. Final payments were made on bridges over Ohman Creek, Bear Creek, Jordan Creek, Elk Creek, and Bridge Creek. The board ordered the Clerk to advertise for bids for the construction of 4 more miles of the Lord Ellis Road.
