RDF by Andrew Genzoli. Contains info on early history of Manila and Samoa. James Brown of Kneeland moved to Fairhaven in 1874 and bought all of Fairhaven & Samoa. He sold to John Vance who sold to A.B. Hammond. The article says the old Manila school was located just west of the drawbridge over Mad River Slough.
