Forest Service & Trinity County are at work on a road that will connect Weaverville with Burnt Ranch. At Burnt Ranch the road will connect with the wagon road to this city (?). It will follow the route for the state highway. The preliminary road will be merely a trial. Good enough for riders and pack trains. It will be widened each year until it becomes a wagon road.
