TEXT:
With the dedication of the Douglas Memorial Bridge and 47 miles of new highway between Grants Pass and S.F which eliminates Oregon Mtn, Calif. Mtn , and Gasquet Mtn. , the 2nd oldest pioneer trail in Oregon will be wiped out. Some gold rush seekers walked this route in 1850. Later, a crude wagon road was construction which was the only communication with the rest of the world until construction of the Southern Pacific Railroad through Grants Pass in 1883 - 1884.
