Humboldt County Collection (HCC) Photograph Collection
In addition to various named photograph collections (see Humboldt Room Photograph Collections for a list of these), there is a more general Humboldt County Collection (HCC) Photograph Collection. Images within this collection document specific sites, communities, geographical regions, businesses, Native Indian peoples, events, organizations, landscapes, cityscapes, individuals and aspects of the lives of area residents, dating from the 1850s to the present. The collection currently consists of approximately 3,500 photographs with new materials being added as opportunities arise and donations are accepted. While small selections of these images have been digitized and made available online, the majority are accessible only within the Cal Poly Humboldt Library Humboldt Room. The online database serves as an index to the broad subjects, places, and personal names included in the collection.
Consult the finding aid for more information about the collection.
