The new road to the Ridge in terrible condition. Centerville Beach is in terrible condition, dangerous at all times. Charley Doe come through on the 12th & had a narrow escape. Isam walker came along at the same time. The surf overturned his wagon. P.3 The last 2 years the price of lumber has dropped, mill owners had to lower wages paid to laborers & many men were laid off.
