Thousands of people thronged across Fernbridge all day to see the river. Bright skies in the afternoon aftered a strange contract to the scene of destruction. The cabins at Camp Weott are threatened. One was swept out to sea. Several power boats tied to moorings (which were torn away) were swept out to sea. Lots of cattle and poultry were lost. At Scotia the river rose 55.1 feet above its normal height. Mrs. Joseph Walker stated the high water was only a few inches below their first floor level of their home. Cattle in their barns were standing in water up to their bellies. At Fernbridge the water level was at the same level as the first floor of Dedini's cold storage plant.
