Mayor James Rolph of S.F. will leave for Washington, D.C., around August 1st to try to secure contracts for building a number of wooden steamers to be built by the Gov. ship bldg corporation for the National Shipping Bd. The contracts sought are for his ship yards in Fairhaven.
