At the request of the Smith River Rancheria in 2001, the Center for Indian Community Development at Cal Poly Humboldt worked with Dr. Albert Harris, Department of Government and Politics, Joan Berman, Special Collections Librarian, and Delia M. Sharpe, graduate student, to identify and collect copies of historical records from various repositories to develop a tribal archive for the Rancheria. San Bruno National Archives Record Center and University of Oregon SWORP are two of the primary repositories researched. Materials collected are available on cd-roms: HumCo E99 T7 S65 2002.
