Little River has been put back in its original channel. The old channel has been blocked by logging debris from operations at Crannell. The blockage caused the mouth, originally at Moonstone Beach, to move south threatening the Crannell logging road, state highway, and Clam Beach. Bids came in too high so the lumber company agreed to do it for the original estimate of $4500. Plans were prepared by Captain A.W. Elam of the Crannell Co.
