Work on the South Jetty is 70% complete. A massive concrete mass - 300' long by 40' wide by 20' thick was poured at the outer end and a 3' thick parapet of concrete was poured to stop the overflow from breakers. Caution - the outer end of the jetty is 7' higher than the shore end.
