Lines of The Times - for Much 15, 1856; The Calif. Legisl. on Feb. 29th passed bill moving the County Seat from Union to Eureka. Also on this day the County Court entered on order in pursuance of the general low, incorporating this town under the name and style of Union. The appendage "city" was dropped from the name Union.
