The State Div of Water Rights in the Dept. of Public Works will receive protests up to May 1 against the appl. of Snow Mtn & Power Company. Snow Mtn & Power Company already have a water rights to divert same water from the Eel. Quinn said they are not meeting the terms of that water rights which requires the minimum dry weather Q not be diverted. Their new appl. is a request to divert 214,000 A.F. more from the river. Engineers say this could leave the river almost dry during a large part of the year.
