Genzoli Column. In the Nov. 5, 1888 HT it said the new steamer Corona which has been recently built at Philadelphia for the Pacific Coast Steamship Company, sailed from the Delaware Breakwater for S.F. on 10/31/1888. The Corona is very similar to the Pomona and may be put on the Humboldt route. The Eel River and Eureka railroad have finished enclosing Clark's Slough with the exception of the rock outside. The work has reclaimed a vast tract of marsh land and resulted in providing a solid roadbed for the railroad tracks instead of the previous piling which was a continuous source of maintenance due to the teredo. There is no better pastureland than the reclaimed marsh lands.
