TEXT:
The 1000 ton concrete monolith at the west end of the north jetty was completed at noon. Beyond the 14' feet deep by 32' x 32' monolith 30 feet of protective cap rock will be placed. They began to pour concrete for the monolith Thursday night at 9:45 pm and continued with no break until noon today. Fortunately, there were no sudden seas, swell, waves to ruin everything. Next, operations will switch to the South Jetty where a monolith will be poured.
