"Twin Parks Sawmill Opens" The mill is owned and operated by Jim Franke. It started production this week and is located off Alliance Rd. in North Arcata. Frank started building the mill about a year ago. There was an old abandoned barn on the site which he used as a shop. The mill can handle logs up to 6' in diameter. Logging for the mill is done under contract to Roy Hok who is felling in the RW Crk area. At the mill about 20 men will be employed on one shift. The article includes a photo portrait of Jim Franke.
