TEXT:
"A Story of Industry - Gold Bluffs" by Earl Roberts. He describes the gold rush of Jan-March 1851 whereby an estimated 5000 men arrived in Trinidad and walked up to gold bluffs and found out there was gold in the sand but it was too finely divided to be separated economically. The Pacific Mining Co. took out about $25,000 in gold but spent a lot more just getting it out.
