The War Assets Admin. today accepted the city's application for the surplus Navy's blimp base on the north spit. The Navy had to pay $192,407 for the 350 acres and bldgs. About 20 ac. south of the Hum. Bay Coast Guard Lifeboat Station were withdrawn from Surplus by the Navy and turned over to the CG. The War Assets Admin. said the blimp base must be maintained as an airport.
