Whole page article on history of Garberville through an interview of Mrs. Georgia Samp, age 90. She has lived in Garberville since 1914. Before that she lived in Briceland in the 1880's. Her husband Edward was a foreman on the road crew. For 16 years they lived on a ranch 3 miles up the hill from Andersonia on Moody Road. In 1914 they bought what is now know as the Wes Marshall Ranch. She lost her husband 6 months later due to illness.
