Acquisition Information
This collection was among the unprocessed materials inventoried in 1997. A note written by Martha Roscoe accompanied the collection so it is likely that she was the person who delivered the collection to the library. Martha Roscoe's note indicates that material had been Miss Edith Porter's and that Miss Porter had been a secretary for the local Save The Redwoods League group. Martha Roscoe's note states that the materials had been in Alice Porter's possession and that Alice had asked Martha for help in placing them in an appropriate repository. The Fort Baker/Porter Family Collection (1999.18) also was in Alice Porter's possession before being donated to Cal Poly Humboldt.
Arrangement of the Collection
During processing the materials were arranged in chronological order, with undated materials placed before dated ones.
